  • Will my insurance premium increase if I report a claim?

Most premiums go up every year regardless of if a claim is reported or not. Insurance companies insure the whole state. Therefore, if a storm were to occur in part of Florida causing a large payout, then all policyholders in Florida will have their premiums raised.

  • Will my insurance company cancel my policy if I file a claim?

The State of Florida allows us to work directly for the policyholder as an advocate as the Policyholder has a right to hire a Public Adjuster on their behalf.

  • Will my insurance company cancel my policy for hiring a Public Adjuster?

Most insurance companies only drop policyholders if they are considered high-risk. Risk levels are assessed by the number of claims reported to the insurance company over a specific period of time and age of the property.

  • Do I always need a Public Adjuster?

No. There is no need to hire a Public Adjuster if the insurance company has provided you with a fair settlement and has indemnified you fully.

  • What is the difference between a Public Adjuster and an attorney?

Public Adjusters are familiar with the entire claim from beginning to end as we are the ones that assess and estimate the damages to properly adjust the claim. Public Adjusters see the damages firsthand and know what it takes to fully indemnify the Policyholder. We are also the only licensed professional who can invoke appraisals to settle the claim in a timely manner. Litigated claims take longer to settle. However, there are times when an attorney may be added to the file at no additional cost.

  • Does a Public Adjuster need to be licensed?

Public adjusters are licensed in most states and subject to strict laws governing their

services and ethics. For peace of mind, make sure your public adjusters are members of the National Association of Public Adjusters (NAPIA). At Adjusters International, we are both licensed and we are members of NAPIA.

  • How do Public Adjusters get paid?

We get paid a percentage of the recovery amount for your insurance claim. It is a contingency contract and we don't get paid unless you do. There is NO RECOVERY NO FEE.

  • How much are Public Adjusters able to get me?

According to the OPPAGA government study done  Policyholders received 574% higher payments for regular insurance claims & 747% more for catastrophe insurance claims when using a Public Adjuster. Every claim is different.

The next step is to figure out if the leak is on the inside or outside. The main valve must be shut off first. Keep a watch on your meter; if it stops moving, you've got a leak. The leak is outside the home if it continues to move.
